Mark Lamb on OAN discussing police week and the rule of law

Mark Lamb on Law Enforcement, Constitutional Rights, and Supporting the Rule of Law

May 14, 20262 min read

During National Police Week, retired Pinal County Sheriff and congressional candidate Mark Lamb joined a national interview to discuss law enforcement, constitutional rights, the dangers of the “defund the police” movement, and why local sheriffs remain one of the last lines of defense for the American people.

Throughout the conversation, Lamb spoke directly about the importance of backing law enforcement while protecting the constitutional freedoms of citizens.

“We don’t defend criminals. We defend American citizens.”

Lamb reflected on the COVID era, when sheriffs across the country faced pressure to enforce lockdowns, mandates, and policies many Americans believed violated their constitutional rights.

“Sheriffs stood up and said, ‘We’re not going to impede on people’s rights.’”

He argued that local law enforcement plays a critical role in protecting communities because sheriffs remain directly accountable to the citizens they serve, not federal bureaucracies in Washington, D.C.

The interview also addressed the continued push by many on the far-left to weaken local law enforcement while refusing to aggressively prosecute criminals or secure the border.

“I will always stand with law enforcement, the Constitution, and the rule of law.”

Lamb also used the interview to honor the men and women who serve in law enforcement and especially those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Police Week is not only about recognizing the difficult work officers perform every day. It is about remembering the families who lost loved ones protecting American communities.

“We honor those who lost their lives doing this job and the families who paid the ultimate sacrifice.”

As sheriff of Pinal County, Mark Lamb became nationally recognized for defending constitutional rights, opposing government overreach during COVID, supporting border security, and standing firmly behind law enforcement officers across Arizona and the country.

Now, as he continues traveling the country and meeting with supporters during Police Week in Washington, D.C., Lamb says the mission remains the same:

Protect the Constitution. Support law enforcement. Defend the rule of law.
