Mark Lamb Joins The Mike Broomhead Show on KTAR to Announce Congressional Run for Arizona’s CD5

Phoenix, AZ — Former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb appeared on The Mike Broomhead Show on KTAR to officially discuss his decision to run for Arizona’s Congressional District 5 seat, currently held by Rep. Andy Biggs. During the interview, Lamb spoke candidly about his motivations, values, and vision for the future of Arizona and America.

Lamb shared that the decision to enter the race came after deep reflection and prayer. “I love this country. I love our history and our birthright,” Lamb said. “I believe that he who has the ability has the responsibility. With everything happening with immigration, crime, and the rule of law, I believe I can hit the ground running for the people of CD5.”

He revealed that the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk was a major factor that reaffirmed his sense of duty to defend freedom and faith in America. “There is no guarantee for tomorrow,” Lamb reflected. “I could walk away and make money, but walking away from a fight I know I can be valuable in—I just couldn’t do it.”

Lamb’s wife, Afton, has been instrumental in his journey. “She’s a patriot just like me,” Lamb said, noting that their shared love for God, family, and country drives their commitment. “We’re running this race together.”

During the conversation, Broomhead asked Lamb about the nature of primary contests between friends. Lamb confirmed he had spoken with other candidates, emphasizing respect and unity. “These are good men. I just go out and tell people what I stand for—my experience, my passion, my belief in God, family, and freedom—and let voters decide.”

Lamb outlined his priorities for Washington, including border security, long-term immigration reform, and defending conservative values. He also highlighted his experience building coalitions as a sheriff. “I’ve proven time and time again that I can be a conservative fighter while still finding common ground,” Lamb said.

He closed the interview by encouraging supporters to get involved: “Go to marklamb.us. If you live in CD5, sign my petition to get on the ballot, and if you can, donate and support our campaign. I believe America’s best days are ahead, but we need proven conservative fighters in Washington, D.C., to make that happen.”
