Defending America’s Borders and Communities
Sheriff Lamb highlighted the stark difference between the Biden administration’s failed border policies and the renewed strength under President Trump’s return to office. He praised Trump’s swift action to secure the southern border, noting that federal agencies like ICE and DHS are once again empowered to do their jobs effectively.
“President Trump turned off the tub water,” Lamb said, describing how Trump’s administration stopped the flood of illegal immigration that had overwhelmed local law enforcement and endangered American lives. He cited the sharp rise in fentanyl poisonings and violent crimes tied to illegal border crossings during the previous administration, stressing that “Arizona and Texas have carried the burden for too long.”
The Human and Economic Toll of Illegal Immigration
Lamb emphasized the devastating consequences of unchecked illegal immigration. He pointed out that over half of all illegal drugs in America enter through Arizona, with fentanyl sometimes selling for as little as ten cents a pill in bulk. He shared that his department saw a 367% increase in traffic stops involving human smuggling and a 460% increase in pursuits during the border crisis.
“These aren’t just migrants looking for work,” Lamb explained. “They’re military-aged men from across the globe. Many end up in blue cities where they know they’ll be shielded by local governments.”
He also addressed the moral and legal issues surrounding illegal immigration, arguing that compassion must not override the rule of law. “There’s already a line in the sand,” Lamb said. “It’s called the law. You cannot come here illegally and expect to live fully in this country.”
Standing with Law Enforcement and President Trump
Sheriff Lamb condemned liberal city leaders who have instructed police not to cooperate with federal agencies like ICE, calling it a betrayal of law enforcement. “As sheriffs, we work for the people, not politicians,” he said. “Every officer should be willing to help defend our borders and support our federal partners.”
He praised President Trump’s leadership in classifying Venezuelan and Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations, defending recent military actions to destroy cartel operations before they reached U.S. soil. “Every American should thank President Trump for saving lives by taking those drugs off our streets,” Lamb stated.
Launching His Campaign for Congress
In a pivotal moment during the interview, Lamb announced his run for Congress in Arizona’s 5th District, the seat currently held by Congressman Andy Biggs, who is now running for governor. Lamb commended Biggs for his conservative record and pledged to continue that legacy.
